Family is Family

In June, the "Family is Family" programming takes on blood ties and retrieves films that make us look at our own.

In an entirely Portuguese and affectionate cycle, the beginning of summer also confirms the presence of the directors for an open dialogue with the public in all screenings.

Confirmed are “Gypsophila” (by Margarida Leitão with her grandmother), “I wanted to know who I am” (by António Aleixo and pandora’s box with footage of the “antigos”), “Desterro” (by Maria Clara Escobar and her shattered family), “The Metamorphosis of Birds” (by Catarina Vasconcelos and her imagined family) and “Soldado Nobre” (by Jorge Vaz Gomes and his family ghost).

A programme that shows cinema in its intimacy, desires and fictions about the families we are or would like to be. Sitting at the table, like in a summer lunch.
