IN THE DARKNESS OF THE THEATER I TAKE OFF MY SHOES

The National Ballet Company celebrated four decades of existence in 2017. At its genesis is the interpretation of the great classics and the permanent reception of contemporary creations.
The daily routine is rigorous for dancers, choreographers, musicians, rehearsers, seamstresses, light and sound technicians, and a vast team that allows dance to travel through the rehearsal rooms and down the corridors to the stage. The documentary follows not only the creations and premieres of the Portuguese company, but above all the silent, structural work of each dancer.
