In what language to tell the stories we've been told? In what language to write a declaration of love?
Lisbon, Bairro das Colónias, third floor. Fatumata and Aissato, mother and first-born daughter of a large family from Guinea-Bissau, talk about love and building happiness. At 7 p.m., from the third to the fifth floor, a regular sound resounds through the building, always the same, like a heartbeat. The film invites the viewer into the space of words and dialog between mother and daughter, and into the sound and plastic space of the building where this family and the filmmaker live. In the succession of a poem, a short story, a love letter and a prayer, words move from one language to another, from one interlocutor and one voice to another, creating connections.
