Guided Tour

Every year millions of tourists come to Portugal to discover a country, its people and its culture. Many of them come into contact with various interpreter-guides who guide them on their discovery. These guides convey a story and a national identity. The way they construct this narrative, using elements and knowledge from the most diverse backgrounds, points first and foremost to the idea we have of ourselves and how we want to present ourselves to others. This film takes the construction of this identity and its reading as its starting point.
